RONALD "RON" REX DOTSON passed quietly on August 7, 2024. Ron was born October 8, 1945, in Dixon, Tennessee. He grew up and lived most of his life in the Beechmont Neighborhood of South Louisville. Most of Ron's working career was spent at trucking companies in and around Louisville. He loved walking at Iroquois Park, working in his garden, naps, "windshield time," classical guitar music, baseball, his family & pets and a few other lucky people. He was preceded in death by his father Luther Nolan Dotson and mother Edith Baker Dotson. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Alt Dotson; son, Noel Dotson (Tina) and daughter, Heather Dotson(Tim Anderson). Memorial visitation will be Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 2-5 pm at Ratterman Embry Bosse Funeral Home, 2723 Preston Highway. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Please send donations to the Kentucky Humane Society or the Louisville Boys and Girls Club.

I'm Vanessa, I'm Ronnie's second cousin, daughter of Anita, She is Ronnie's mother's niece. I will never forget one of the times that Aunt Edie and Ronnie and Heather and Noel all came to visit at my Granny and Grandaddy's in Mt Juliet Tennessee and we all why out fishing on the boat all day. Ronnie had tied a banana around his head to keep the sweat from dripping down his face. When we all got back to Granny's house that evening Ronnie took his banana off of his head and he had a white ring all the way around his head because he kept his head shaved bald. We all laughed so hard !! Good times !!!!
