Ronald Douglas Sr., 78, husband of Linda Douglas, passed away on November 30, 2024 in Lexington. Ronald was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 22, 1946 to the late Howard Ball Douglas Sr. and Virginia Frances Woolums. Ronald was a proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, serving in the 25th infantry. Ronald was a retired bi-vocational pastor, having a heart for ministry, and went on to work in distribution for many years and was a talented woodworker.
In addition to his wife, Linda, Ronald is survived by his three sons, Ronald (Kelly) Douglas Jr., Charles Douglas, and Bryan (Kristen) Douglas; seven grandchildren, Nathan, Faith, Phillip, Amelia, Elisha, Christina "Brooke," and Sebastian "Bash"; fifteen great-grandchildren; Bryce, Carleigh, Kellan, Willow, Aden, Charles, Philip, Adalynn, Maleigha, Brynlee, Jaxon, Kayleigh, Macy, Emma, and Colton; sister, Patrica Sutton; and brother, Howard Earl Jr.
In addition to his parents, Ronlad was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Douglas and Paul Douglas; and sister, Joann Cotton.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 1:00pm at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd., Frankfort. Visitation will be from 11:00am till the time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Ronald Douglas to the Boys and Girls Club of America.
