Ronald David Doyle Jr, 65 of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 14, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky.
David received an associate in engineering from the University of Louisville. David met the love of his life while at U of L, Sally Shouse. They married on August 15, 1987.
David had been working with Eli Lilly and Company. His position was Lead Mechanic, Engineering- Instrumentation. This November would have marked his 25th year with the company. David loved trying new food and being a foodie. He would tinker in his workshop working on a project, doing woodwork, trying to fix anything. He was a great handyman. He enjoyed computers and playing computer games. He was a huge Sci-Fi enthusiast, especially Star Wars and Star Trek, and everything in the Marvel Universe. He also loved history and Nonfiction books, as well as the Command and Conquer game series. He also had quite a sense of humor and loved puns and jokes. He was an animal lover and had many dogs and cats in his lifetime. He also loved trying different beers and collecting bottles from his favorites.
David is survived by his beloved family, wife Sally Doyle, children Jonathan D. Doyle, Rachel A Doyle. (fiancé Gabe), and sister Teresa Doyle(David Cox). His favorite charity was the United Way, so please consider making a donation in memory of him.
David’s Life Celebration® memorial visitation will be Wednesday, June 7 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A Memorial Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 PM.
