Margaret Ann Bard, age 70, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born to the late William and Margaret (Welch) Bard, Margaret lived a life of compassion, faith, and service to others. She worked in administration at Phillip Magnavox in Knoxville, TN, and then Phillip Morris in Louisville. She then retired after fifteen years of dedicated service with the Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Education was always a central part of Margaret's life. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville, later pursuing her master's studies at the University of Kentucky. A gifted student and natural teacher, she served as a tutor and teaching assistant, continually encouraging others to pursue knowledge and achieve their goals. Margaret was an avid reader and lifelong learner, constantly researching and seeking resources to help others. With a true servant's heart, she devoted her time to connecting people with programs, grants, apprenticeships, and opportunities that would allow them to thrive. She also opened her own office to assist with taxes, always offering her guidance with kindness and sincerity.

Grounded deeply in her Christian faith, Margaret treasured her Bible, filling its pages with notes, underlined verses, and memorized scripture. She marveled at the beauty of God's creation and prayed earnestly for progress and change in the world. Her faith gave her an abiding hope that she freely shared with others, extending comfort, encouragement, and love wherever she went. Margaret's legacy is one of generosity, wisdom, and gentle guidance. She will be remembered for the way she used her education and compassion to uplift those around her and for the countless lives she touched through her listening ear and warm heart.

She is survived by her loving children, Carla Bard and Joshuay Bard; her sister, Mary Ford; her brothers, Jimmy, Ivan, Paul, Michael, Mickey, and Peter Bard; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Loveil Burks, and her brother, Nate Bard.

Margaret's life was a reflection of her faith, her love of learning, and her desire to see others succeed. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the blessing of knowing her.
