Ronald William Drimmel, age 85, of Neosho, MO, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024 surrounded by close family and friends. Born in Atchison, KS, on December 10, 1938, Ronald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley Drimmel. He leaves behind a legacy of seven children: Ronald Drimmel (Manuela) of Italy; Kimberly Maroney (Ken) of Missouri; Nancee King (Ed) of Montana; Shawn Drimmel (Becky) of Illinois; Martha Anderson (Bruce) of South Dakota; Tiffani Zeller (Andrew) of Missouri, and Paris Drimmel of Montana. Ronald was also the proud grandpa of 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is further survived by his siblings: Stan Drimmel (Cindy) of Kansas; Phil Drimmel (Joanie) of Kansas; Betty Jensen (Jim) of Nebraska; and sister-in-law Donna Drimmel of Kansas. Ronald was preceded in death by his son John Paul Drimmel, his parents Ronald and Alice (Banker) Drimmel, and his brother Larry Drimmel.
Ronald's family will hold a Vigil on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 5:00 pm, followed by visitation until 6:00 pm, at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Canera Catholic Church in Neosho.
Ronald will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the love and devotion he had for his family and God, his riveting storytelling talent, and his extensive collections (matchbooks, aluminum cans, and miniature cars.) His work ethic was unmatched and included over 17 years with JCPenney, owning Coast to Coast Hardware in Bozman, Montana, and over 25 years owning and operating a professional cleaning and restoration business. Ron was a Knight of Columbus, Cursillista, Commissioned Lay Minister, was an active Jaycee and was honored with a JCI Senatorship (lifetime membership.) His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and the lives he touched.
