Ronald Russell Endy, 87, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away May 14, 2025, at the Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Joanne (Sanders) Endy, and they were going to celebrate 60 years of marriage this summer.
Born November 18, 1937, he was the son of the late Henry Endy and Eva (Stufflet) Endy.
Ronald was a 1955 graduate of Reading High School.
After graduating high school Ronald went on to join the Navy as a radio operator on the PV2 Neptune from 1955-1958. When he returned home he worked as a medical photographer for Reading Hospital for 31 years and retired in 2009.
Besides his passion for photography, he loved woodworking and doing other activities with his hands. He was also very musically talented and could play almost any instrument that was placed in front of him. Ronald was a history buff and loved learning about World War II. He enjoyed sharing the things that he learned with his grandson Maxx.
Ronald is survived by three children: Timothy Endy, husband of Christine of Reno, Nevada; Randy Endy of Reno, Nevada; and Lori Barnhard, wife of Jeffrey of West Reading. As well as one step child, Ronald Weidenhammer of Reno, Nevada.
He is also survived by one grandson, Maxx Barnhard.
Surviving are also three nieces and six nephews.
There are two siblings that predeceased Ronald, George Endy, husband of Dolores of Fleetwood, and Linda Epler, wife of Cal of Blandon.
Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Animal Rescue league of Berks County or One by One Cat Rescue.

Ronald, you are now relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran. Thanks to the patrol Squadron with the help of the P2V Neptune, our seas were safe from foreign submarines. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation“s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate.
