Ronald W. Foster, 77, of Lathrop, MO, passed away September 16, 2025 after battling cancer.

Ronald was born August 14, 1948 to H.R. and Dorothy Foster.

Ronald lived around the Lawson area since he was in first grade. He graduated from Lawson High School in 1966. He married his high school sweetheart, Ellisa Morgan, on January 13, 1967. Of this marriage they welcomed three children, Douglas, David and Donna.

Ron was a very clever, artistic and handy man. He started his working life by working at Ford Motor Company. After this, he attended barber school. He worked as a barber for several years and then went to work at General Motors. Upon getting laid off, he enlisted in the US Army. After 3 years he returned home and went back to work at GM. In 1983 he opened Foster's Mini-market and Drive-in. He ran this several years until he decided to buy and flip houses.

Ronald leaves his wife of 58 years, Ellisa, of the home. He also leaves a son, Douglas and a daughter Donna (Matthew), along with 5 grandkids Brandon, Nicole (Jordan), Owen (Addison), Nina and Brian.

He was preceded in death by his brother Gary Foster (Carol) and parents HR Foster and Dorothy Wollard, and a son, David Foster.

Private services were held per his request.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The University of Kansas Cancer Center.
