Ronald Fryer of Caddo, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born on Friday, March 14, 1947 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Graham and Nelta (Herron) Fryer.
He was a longtime resident of Caddo, Oklahoma. He served the city as Mayor for over 8 years and was a member of the city council for 12 years. He also coached little league baseball. He loved the city of Caddo, Oklahoma and enjoyed serving his community. He had also proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Ronald enjoyed fishing, and his early morning stops at the Caddo Superette, where he would meet his local friends for some coffee. In his retirement, he looked forward to spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Pat Fryer and granddaughter Kaitlin.
Survivors include his sons Larry Fryer and wife Christie of Caddo, Oklahoma, Mike Fryer and wife Tamara of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughters Abby Jo Fryer of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Kesha Callicoat and husband Steve of Caddo, Oklahoma; brother Jim Fryer and wife Dena of Calera, Oklahoma as well as other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma with Duane Crawford officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Hopkins, Eddie Don Ervin, Jeff Lackey, Lindel White, Todd Argo, and Todd Miller.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Kaitlin Fryer Scholarship fund at Shamrock Bank in Caddo, Oklahoma.
