Funeral services for Ronald "Jack" Griffie, 83, will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Rev. McKee Williams.
Jack was born on April 9, 1941, to Harold Griffie and Ollie Parrot Griffie in Heflin, Louisiana and passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, in Shreveport.
Jack was a resident of Haughton. He was married to the love of his life, Belvie Griffie. He was a jack of all trades including being a brick mason, truck driver, apartment maintenance supervisor, among several other jobs. He loved fishing, riding motorcycles, boat riding, and drinking his morning coffee while watching the birds.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ollie Griffie; wife, Belvie Griffie; sisters, Helen Griffie, Margaret Rhodes, and Shirley Fair. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Dewayne Griffie; daughter, Ronda Weese; grandchildren, Angela (Jeremy), Corey (Amber), Amanda (Dylan); great-grandchildren, Brett, Bryanna, Christian, Ashlynn, Kori Lynn, Lincoln, and Emorie Lynn; sister, Jena Ferrante; and brother, Lance Griffie.
Honoring Jack as pallbearers will be Chad Weese, Dylan Thomas, Jeremy Bisaccio, Christian Riordan, Willie Thompson, and Tom Palmer. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Corey Griffie.
