Ronald Guida Obituary

Ronald Mark "Ron" Guida, 68, originally from New Kensington, but found his home in Switzerland, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Feb. 19, 2026, in Gommiswald, Switzerland, where he lived for the last 30 years. He was born in New Kensington, on May 19, 1957, to the late Anthony N. Guida Jr. and Victoria Marra Guida (living) of New Kensington. Ron graduated from Valley High School, served four years in the United States Coast Guard, and then graduated from Indiana University of PA with a BS in chemistry. He began his chemical career with PPG, was recruited by DKSH, a Swiss chemical firm in Zurich, and retired recently with a distinguished career as their Sales Manager for Specialty Chemicals Industry. Upon Ron's retirement, his company, as well as his international clients, recognized him for his high degree of integrity, competence, deep knowledge, and engaging personality. He became a Swiss citizen, enjoyed skiing and hiking the Swiss Alps with his wife, Brigitte, golfing, surfing, traveling the world, and most recently spending time with his grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife of 27 years, Brigitte; his stepchildren, Milan and Marcela; and their grandchildren, Nico, Isabelle, Ivan, Karlo and Amelia. Stateside, Ron is survived by his mother, Victoria Marra Guida; his identical twin brother, Robert (Lisa) Guida; his younger brother, Anthony (Deborah) Guida III; niece, Nicole (Seth) Hornack; nephews, Michael (Nicole) Guida and Luke Guida; one great-nephew; three great-nieces; and numerous cousins. Funeral services and burial will be held in Gommiswald, Switzerland, and a Memorial Mass will be planned in New Kensington for close friends and family in the upcoming weeks.
