Mr. Ronald Hayes, 84, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Spring Arbor of Kinston Retirement Community.

No services will be held.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Ronald was born to the late Violet and Carl Hayes on July 3, 1941 and retired after a long career with Sara Lee Bakery. Upon retirement, Ronald worked for Labatory Corporation of America as a Service Representative spending much of his time at medical offices throughout Eastern North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his sister Joanne and brothers, Ralph and Richard.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen; his two sons and their wives William and Debra, and Robert and his wife, Roberta. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Sarah; Matthew and his fiancée Harper Jewell; Austin and his wife Lexi and great-grandchildren Macartney, Rileigh, Jordyn, Ashton, Dominik; Samantha and her husband James, and great-grandchildren Kolter and Parker; and Samuel.

Ronald will be fondly remembered for his love of family, friends, and pets.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ronald's name to your local animal shelter.
