Ronald P. Hoogerhuis

Ronald P. Hoogerhuis, a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024. He was born on January 26, 1962, to Mathias Ben Hoogerhuis and Peggy Trujillo Hoogerhuis.
Ronald was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. As a former coach for both tennis and football at Robertson High School and a kicker for the New Mexico Lobos, he was always passionate about sports. He also had a love for watching sports and was a great teacher in many ways. He consistently provided positive feedback and encouragement in all aspects of life. Additionally, he enjoyed listening to music and dancing and was always eager to share his moves with those around him. He will be miss by all.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Trujillo Hoogerhuis and his son Benjamin Faith Lujan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Daughters; Desiree Martinez, Sharon Hoogerhuis-Archuleta (Larry), and Kristin Barela (Ronnie), Grandchildren; Dajsha, Ariel, Marvin, Jr., LaRon, Nevaeh, Ronnie, Jr., Kendrick, Benjamin, Jr., and Keeghan; Father, Mathias Ben Hoogerhuis; Brother, Theodore Trujillo; Sister, Diane Vigil; God Son, Kenny Tarango; Mother-in-Law, Ruby Aragon and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM.
Cremation has taken place and interment of cremains will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.
