Ronald Kleba Obituary
January 19, 2026
Ronald J. Kleba, age 86, of Ballston Lake, N.Y., formerly of Roanoke, Va., passed away quietly on Monday, January 19, 2026, following a lengthy battle with heart disease. He was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., and was the son of the late John and Mary Kleba.
He attended Wilbur H. Lynch High School and, immediately following graduation, served honorably for two years in the United States Navy.
After his military service, Ron began a long and distinguished career with General Electric. While working full-time at GE, he attended night school and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Union College. During his career, Ron was awarded a U.S. Patent for his work on the Automatic Device for Synchronization of Prime Mover with Electrical Grid. He retired from General Electric after 34 years of dedicated service.
Ron was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of the Pattersonville Volunteer Fire Department, reflecting his lifelong commitment to service and community.
He is survived by his bride of 64 years, Jean Sitterly Kleba; one son, Ronald Jr. and wife Barbara; his daughter, Katherine "Kate" Scacchetti and husband Philip; three grandchildren, Jordan (Kevin), Alec (Hannah), and Dylan (Philip); three great-grandchildren, Kaden, Luka and Eli and one sister, Lorraine (Edward) Dybas.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY.
Funeral Service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, The Basilica of St. Andrew, 631 N. Jefferson Street, Roanoke, VA 24016 of your favorite charity.
