Ronald L. "Ronnie" Kuhn, 72, of Carlisle, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at home with his family by his side. He was born September 10, 1950, in Carlisle to the late Guy and Arlene (Knaub) Kuhn.
Ronald was a 1969 graduate of Carlisle High School. He honorably served his country in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam era.
Ron was self-employed as the owner of Guy Kuhn and Son Trash Removal, a successful, small business Ron's father founded. Ron was proud to continue his father's legacy. Ronald also worked as an independent Truck Driver and prior to retiring, he was employed as the Yard Supervisor for Sheridan Logistics.
In addition to loving his family and spending time with them, Ronald loved hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed the camaraderie with family and friends while hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Debra (Carns) of Carlisle; son Justin (wife Elizabeth) Kuhn of Carlisle; daughter Elizabeth (fiancée Tyler Beattie) Kuhn of Mount Holly Springs; son Nathaniel (wife Robyn) Kuhn of West Chester; son Tyler (girlfriend Mindy McNamara) Kuhn of Frederick, MD; son Christopher Sheaffer of Carlisle; 5 grandchildren: Christian and Nicholas Kuhn of Carlisle, Amelia and Willow Beattie of Mount Holly Springs, and Audi Sheaffer of Carlisle.
Ronald is also survived by 3 siblings: William "Bill" (wife Susan) Kuhn of Dillsburg; Deb (husband Glenn) Wimer of Mount Holly Springs; Stephen (wife Crystal) Kuhn of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his half-brother, Eugene "Sonny" Kuhn.
Memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. with visitation at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle with Rev. Dick Warner officiating.
