Ronald Eugene “Bo” Larsen, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born in Galesburg, IL on July 29, 1939, to the late Rosella Morris and Stenneth Eugene Larsen.
Bo enlisted with the United States Army Reserve and served his country with pride. After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, he went on to become the Vice President, Corporate Controller, for Springs Industries. Bo enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his friends. He could often be found at Gerhard's Café, his favorite restaurant in Spartanburg, or at The Creek. He was also an avid cook, always sharing his creations with friends.
Bo was previously married to the late Molly Larsen, of Columbia, SC. He is survived by his children, Dan Larsen (Li-Fang) of Pittsburgh, PA, Jimmy Larsen (Jeanie) of Memphis, TN, and Julie Larsen of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Grace Larsen, Clare Larsen, Garrett Larsen, and Caroline Larsen; and, sister, Kay Wignall of Harlingen, TX.
In honor of Bo, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Spartanburg Regional Foundation.
