Ronald Larsen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by All County Funeral Home & Crematory - Treasure Coast Chapel on Dec. 18, 2025.
Ron was born on 7/19/40 in Brookings, SD, passed away 12/8/25 in Port St. Lucie, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mildred Larsen, and his wife, Christel "Chris" Larsen. Ron is survived by his siblings Larry Larsen, Loren Larsen, Jan (Dan) Leitshuh, first wife, Jean Nelson; his children and stepchildren, Andre DeMaret (Karl Baltes), Stacey (Tim) Hanlin, Susan (Brent) Nygaard, and Sheri (Mark) Brooks; and his beloved grandchildren, Carter, Blake, Connor, and Peyton. He is also survived by his cherished dogs, Pepper and Pixie, who brought him great companionship and joy.
Ron proudly served in the US Navy, including service aboard the USS Yorktown during 1959–1960. Following his military service, he moved to Minnesota, where at the age of 31 he opened his first Mr. Steak restaurant in Roseville. His entrepreneurial spirit and community involvement were evident throughout his life, including his role as the West Wind of the 1985 St. Paul Winter Carnival, an honor he took great pride in.
In 1993, Ron relocated to Florida, settling in Port St. Lucie. There, he owned and operated a solid surface countertop business for many years, continuing his lifelong dedication to hard work and independence. Ron will be remembered for his service, his business acumen, his love for family, and his loyal companionship with those-both human and animal-who were fortunate to share his life.
