Ronald "Ron" Monroe Little, son of Rolla Monroe and Theresa Gardner Little, was born in Springfield, Missouri on October 25, 1940, and departed this life March 18, 2022, in Lebanon, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of eighty-one years.
Ron is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Sally; two sons, Randy Little of Lebanon, MO and Doug Little of Washington, D.C.; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Biggs Little of Lebanon, MO; one brother, Tom Little and his wife Linda of Springfield, MO; three grandchildren, Jacob Little and his wife Karianne, Cory Little and Jennifer McGuire and her husband Damon; three great-grandchildren, Camille Little, Gannon and Emersyn McGuire; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, one son, Mike Little and his brother-in-law, Walter Richard Crow.
Longtime owner of Crow Paint & Glass. He was a loving son, brother, cousin, husband (of 59 years!), dad, uncle, great uncle, grandpa and great grandpa. He was mischievous, strong willed, and funny. He was protective, generous, kind, and loyal. He was a friend to everyone he met. He could sell anything. He hated the thought of the DH in the National League. His timing was impeccable. He grew a mean tomato, pepper, and cucumber. He could throw a strike or two and pick up a spare. He loved animals. He was a heck of a baseball coach for generations of kids. He always put his family first. He fought hard. He beat cancer twice and the second time it was against all odds - a one in a million case, just like him. He will be missed so very much.
Funeral service for Ron will be Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Shadel's Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Marsha Vincent and Kenny Moore, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
Memorials have been suggested to First United Methodist Church or Lebanon Paws & Claws. Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel's Colonial Chapel, P.O. Box 948 or 1001 N. Lynn, Lebanon, MO 65536.
