Ronald McElhattan Obituary

Ronald D. McElhattan, 83, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born June 18, 1942, in New Bethlehem, to the late Roger and Dorothy (Polliard) McElhattan. Ronald was a truck driver for Harts Department Store and later on Saul's Lumber. He was an usher and member of the Holiday Park Bible Church. In his free time, Ronald enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with his family and was known for his love of animals. Ronald was survived by his wife of 51 years, Roberta (Montgomery) McElhattan; daughters, Renae Jefferies, of Tarentum, Rachel (John) Buckham, of Buffalo Township, and Brooke McElhattan, of Lower Burrell; and grandchildren, Brian Jefferies, Dominick Jefferies, Cheyenne Buckham, and Myla Buckham. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Harold G. McElhattan; and sister, Myrna Rugh. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, in CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025. I remember Ron from Hart's Dept Store I worked in Children's Dept. He was always so nice to me. He was a sweetheart. You have my condolences Rip Ron.
