Phillip Davidek Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rusiewicz Funeral Homes Inc. - Lower Burrell on Feb. 23, 2026.
Phillip S. Davidek, 65, passed away in his New Kensington home on the morning of February 17, 2026. He was born in Pittsburgh PA to Joseph and Heather (Sutherland) Davidek, and was a lifelong resident of Tarentum, PA. He attended Highlands High School and graduated with the class of 1978. Phillip most recently worked as a security officer.

Phillip was an avid collector of all things Marvel and DC comics. He enjoyed reading and collecting comic books as well as watching superhero movies, such as those of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His favorite hero was always the original - Iron Man. Phillip was also an active firearms enthusiast and was a member of the Keystone Shooting Center. When he wasn't working or engaging in these hobbies, Phillip enjoyed just spending time at home watching television with his partner of 19 years, Lisa (Holzer) Pentek, and their four fur-children: Roxy, Chloe, Tucker, and Cloud.

Those who knew Phillip best would attest to his character, sense of humor, easy-going approach, and, most of all, his big heart. Phillip was an adult that never lost his child-like wonder for things like comics and collectables. Phillip would open his heart and door to anyone in his circle who found themselves in need of help. He was always quick to lighten the mood during difficult times, and very often was the grounding force when things became unsteady.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents. Phillip is survived by his partner, Lisa, her children Adam and Brianna (Faughnan) Pentek and Sarah Pentek, and his brother, Christopher Davidek. A memorial service will be held at a later date yet to be determined. At this time the family asks for privacy as they grieve the loss of Phillip.
