Ronald "Woodzy" Roy McIntyre, 84, of Ironwood, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
Ron was born on September 21, 1940, in L'Anse, Michigan, to Roy and Marian (Ross) McIntyre. He worked as a miner at the White Pine Mine until his retirement. In 1967, Ron was united in marriage to Diana Mooney in Carlton, Michigan.
Affectionately known as "Woodzy," Ron had a deep love for the outdoors. He spent countless hours at his camp, enjoying hunting, fishing, and tending to his gardens.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 58 years, Diana; daughter, Colleen Elizabeth McIntyre; granddaughter, Lilly Selm; brothers, Denny and Gary McIntyre; sisters, Susan and Sherry McIntyre; and nephews, Shawn, Ryan, and Roy McIntyre.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry and Jack McIntyre.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held.
