Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and "papa" passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper. Age 87 years. The son of the late David and Erma (Kuehn) Miller, Ron was born November 16, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Lois Hill, his loving wife of 69 years, on January 26, 1957. She survives him. Ron was employed as a tool and die maker at Jameson Corporation for nearly 30 years until its closing. He was then employed Danti Tool & Die Company, Saginaw Tool & Die, Mahar Tool and Iwen Tool Company. In the early 1980's, he had owned and operated the family business, R&M Machine Tool, until his retirement in 2001. Ron was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed time spent outdoors at the cottage and loved time spent with family and friends.

Surviving besides his wife Lois "his lil' witch" are three sons and their spouses, Ronald E. Miller Jr. and his wife Patricia, Midland; Randy and Kathy Miller, Saginaw; Russell and Tammy Miller, Greenbush; seven grandchildren, Ronald III (Mindi), Jennifer (R.J.), Kerri (Kyle), Russell (Brittany), Katie, Dennis (Katy) and Mason (Alexandria); ten great-grandchildren, Ethan, Adaline, Easton, Blake, Bryce, Brady, Ayla, Brookly, Vera and Emery; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lois Miller, Albert and Paula Hill and Elizabeth Demand; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends including Carol and Jim Roberts, Connie and Tim Kaufmann, Mary Engelhardt. Ron was preceded in death by three brothers, David Jr., Arthur and Robert; and by an infant sister, Edith; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Gertrude Hill.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Visiting Nurses, especially Lisa Marie, Carrie, Linda, Rosemary, Neil and Lori, for their loving and compassionate care given to Ron.

Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Ted McCulloch will officiate. Private burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Cancer Society, National Kidney Foundation or a charity of their choice.
