Ronald Keith Milstid, 62, of Pace, Florida passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. He passed of heart failure after a seven-month battle with sepsis and the associated complications.
Ron was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. He grew up in Largo. He married his lifelong partner, Gwyn, on December 20, 1980. He and his family moved to Pensacola in 1983 to help his grandfather and older brother with the family tire and auto shop. They bought a home and settled in Pace in 1987 where he and Gwyn lived until his passing.
Ron is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonnie Milstid and Rosetta Hollingsworth Milstid.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gwyn; his son, Mark Burt (Kelli); two daughters, Melissa Vedder (Randy) and Hollie Henderson (Jessy); father, James Cecil Milstid; mother, Mary Elizabeth Meyers; Four siblings, Phillip Milstid, Vicky Cheatham, David Milstid, and Sara Milstid; He was also the proud Pop Pop to six grandchildren; Korey, Cadin, Nichole, Michael, Alex and Brielle.
Ron was a professional Land Surveyor. He began his career as a chainman working his way up to Professional Land Surveyor. He graduated from Pensacola Junior College in 2007 with an engineering degree. He was a well-beloved worker for Santa Rosa County, for 16 years. He greatly enjoyed passing out treats to children and dogs while working at the scale house.
His favorite hobbies were fishing, running RC cars, tinkering on anything mechanical, sleeping, and spending time with his family.
