Ronald Michael Montgomery

Ronald Michael "Ron" Montgomery, 47, died on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Cherokee, Alabama. Ron was of the Christian faith and enjoyed attending services when he could. For most of his life, Ron was a welder and spent many years welding at PSP, Freightcar, and Constellium. Most recently, he was an SME at Linamar/Dura in Muscle Shoals. He was incredibly hard-working, and he loved his job and the work family that came along with it. Ron was an extremely genuine and selfless person. He had never met a stranger and put everybody else above himself. He was a great mentor and always an absolute joy to be around. In his free time, he liked to play pool, play the guitar, travel, and watch movies. One thing he valued above everything was his family. His sons, nieces, nephews, and his dogs were the lights of his life. Ron is survived by his high-school sweetheart and beloved wife, Cassie Montgomery; his sons, Ethan Montgomery (Emma), Noah Montgomery, and Sam Montgomery (Allie); his mother, Barbara Montgomery; his father, James Montgomery; his nieces and nephews, Matthew Turnbow (Kayla), Megan Turnbow (Megan), and Morgan Rinkines (Ronnie); his great-nieces and nephews, Lucas Hubbard, Lucas Turnbow, Landon Turnbow, Adelyn Young, and Cayson Rinkines; his brother-in-law, Chris Hubbard; his uncles, Tom Montgomery (Cheryl) and James Hubbard (Patty); his aunt, Glenda Matlock (Wayne); his furbabies, Cosmo and Pepper; and a host of other loved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Michelle Montgomery Clark; his infant brother, Mark James Montgomery; his grandparents, TJ and Shirley Montgomery, Nona Mae Woodruff, and John Huggins; his parents-in-law, Norman and Brenda Hubbard; and his grandparents-in-law, Arvil and Shirley Bullard and NC and Jean Hubbard. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, and will continue on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Honorary pallbearers will be his friends, including, but not limited to, Paul Underwood, Mesha Jackson, Charles Brandon Patterson, Travis Michael, and Bradley Thornton.
