Ronald Moore Obituary

Ronald D. Moore, 64, entered into eternal rest on January 27, 2025 at his home. Ronnie was born to Earl and Mary Moore on January 20, 1961 at Conley Hospital in Jackson County, Kansas City, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by both parents.
Ronnie leaves behind his wife, Shannon Stephenson Moore, and daughter, Brianna Ortega Moore; a sister, Carla Erhartic (Tom); niece, Jami and great niece, Sadie; an aunt and uncle, Charles and Darlene Prentice; and numerous cousins on both the Moore and Prentice family lines.
Ronnie went to Kearney schools and started working for Robertson Plumbing in High School. In those days he liked fast cars and motorcycles and had no fear. In 1978, he joined Operating Engineers Local 101 and began his career as a heavy equipment operator. In 2006 he started working on laying natural gas pipelines in numerous states. It was a good decision for him, due to his skills, knowledge of his craft, and his good work ethic instilled by his father, and his fearless nature, he was in high demand. The hours were grueling and the work dangerous at times but Ronnie thoroughly enjoyed his work and those he work with.
If you met Ronnie, he was sure to leave an impression. Some of you that knew Ronnie understood his thrill seeking antics. Ronnie could also be the most polite and generous person, with a great smile and good manners that came from his country roots. He had a big heart and stood up for what he believed in. However that person lived between his dare devil alter ego and personal battles which some of you witnessed through his lifetime. A talented person with demons that tore him apart. We will miss his fun loving life full of stories. It seems that just about everyone has their own "Ronnie" story. We can now rejoice that his demons have left him and he can rest in peace comforted by the Grace of God.
Services are cancelled due to the weather.
All funeral expenses have been paid for, however if you choose to donate to Shannon Moore, P.O. Box 130, Cameron, MO, 64429, please send them to her directly or leave for her at the memorial. Thank you.
