Ronald E. & Nancy L. (Stenz) Woelfel, of rural New Holstein, passed away together from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Ron was born April 3, 1951, in Sheboygan to the late Alex Jr. & Gladys (Buechel) Woelfel and Nancy was born December 5, 1954, also in Sheboygan to the late Jerome & Gertrude (Casper) Stenz. Ron graduated from New Holstein High School in 1969 and Nancy graduated from Chilton High School in 1974. The couple was married on June 8, 1979 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho, WI.
The couple owned and operated a small farm north of New Holstein. In addition, Nancy worked at Land O' Lakes in Kiel followed by Kaytee in Chilton until her retirement.
Ron & Nancy enjoyed going on cruises, visiting Florida, socializing with friends (as well as strangers), playing cards, signing in, and an occasional trip to a casino. Nancy always looked forward to her "6 Stenz Sisters Weekend" trips and Ron always enjoyed cruising around on his ATV with his side-kick, Roscoe.
Family was always a priority for Ron & Nancy. If anyone was in need, they were always there to lend a hand or crack a joke.
Those left behind to cherish their memories include their four children, Justin (Bethany) Woelfel of Franksville, WI, Aaron Woelfel of La Crosse, WI, Jamie (Matt) Duffy of Franklin, WI, and Jessica (Arno) Tellier of South Milwaukee, WI; four grandchildren, Ezra & Niko Duffy and Aza & Axtyn Tellier; Ron's siblings, Sharon Woelfel-Nett, Lorrie (John) Buss, Dan (Gay) Woelfel, Dave (Lisa) Woelfel, Steve (Judy) Woelfel, Ken (Kathy) Woelfel, Keith (Tammy) Woelfel, Susan (Steve) Quirt, Alex Woelfel III, Kris (Julie) Woelfel, and Tammy Woelfel (Jan Rothbauer); Nancy's siblings, Dan (Carol) Stenz, Jean (Tom) Danor, Linda Dvorak, Steve (Christine) Stenz, Sharon (Pete) Rosenow, Gerry (Karen) Stenz, Ann (Tim) Knoespel, and Mark (Diane) Stenz. Ron & Nancy are further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives, and many friends.
Ron & Nancy were preceded in death by their parents, Alex Jr. & Gladys Woelfel; Jerome & Gertrude Stenz; Nancy's siblings, Wayne Stenz, John Stenz, Rick Stenz, Karen (Tony) Butkovich; brother-in-law, Tom Dvorak; and Ron's brother-in-law, Wayne Nett.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial for Ron & Nancy will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Alvan Amadi will officiate with Deacon Bernard Knier assisting. Burials will take place in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in New Holstein.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with the family at Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein on Friday, March 14th from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be at Holy Rosary Church on Saturday, March 15th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in their names. If mailing a memorial, please make check out to Justin Woelfel and mail to: Family of Ron & Nancy Woelfel C/O Sippel Funeral Home PO Box 135, New Holstein, WI 53061.
