Ronald James Niemann, 66, of Enfield, formerly of Ellington, beloved husband of 12 wonderful years to Sandra Naylor-Niemann, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife & siblings on November 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ronald was born on August 1, 1959, to Kenneth and Eleanor Niemann, formerly of Ellington.
Ron was born and raised in Ellington on the Niemann Family Farm and later moved to Brooklyn, CT with his parents before moving to Enfield with his wife, Sandy.
He attended and graduated from Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield having earned a Veterinary Assistant Degree.
Ron had formerly worked for Herb Holden Trucking, Spazzarini Construction Co., and Leveille's Auto Recycling as a heavy equipment operator.
Ron was a longtime member of AA and was a mentor to many over his 34-years of membership. He was a director of the Housatonic Cairn Terrier Club and an avid NASCAR fan.
Ron leaves behind the "Love of His Life", Sandy as well as his very dear siblings, Kathleen Luginbuhl (Dale), Kenneth Niemann Jr (Michele), Russell Niemann (Ardith), and Jayne Niemann. Ron also leaves behind his treasured dogs that he and Sandy had that he loved so very much, Ozzy and Penny. He also was predeceased by his first dog, Rascal. To him and Sandy, they were their children, and they brought him so much love and joy. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews that loved "Uncle Ron". He will also be missed by his extended family and the MANY friends he made along the way on his journey of life.
Ron was predeceased by his loving, supportive parents and his sister, Susan Niemann, whom he has missed so very much.
Ron will always be remembered as a very special, loving husband, son, brother and friend to all that knew him. He never failed to say "I Love You" along with a strong hug or handshake. He was taken from us too soon as he had been at the happiest time of his life.
All are welcome to join his family at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon, CT 06066 on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, for a calling hour from 10:00-11:30 am with a service at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
