Ronald Stanley Olsen

Ronald Stanley Olsen, 86, of Pecatonica, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025.

Born November 23, 1939, in Cicero, IL, the son of Stanley and Edith Olsen. Veteran of

the U.S. Army. Ronald married Mary Fredrick on February 5, 1972, at Apostles Lutheran

Church in Melrose Park, IL. She predeceased him on September 21, 2004. He worked as

a parts manager for Ford Trucking at several dealerships. Ronald was a loving father

and devoted grandfather. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, a vivacious reader, and

loved to travel. Ronald enjoyed being outside, gardening, and basking in the sun. He was

a big fan of Outlaw series racing and treasured sharing racing trips with friends and

family.

Survived by his children, Karen (Scott) Finnander, Sharon (Tim) Hart, Paul E. Carlson,

Susan Pawl, Jennifer (Brandon) Horvath, and Inga (Thomas) Danko; grandchildren,

Alexis Finnander, Jacquelyn Finnander, Samantha Finnander, Hannah Pointer, William

Hart, Jonathon Carlson, Jesse Carlson, Meghan Cole, Devinne Michaels, Cheyenne

Carlson, Shannon Pawl, Kelly Pawl, Christian Carboni, Margaret Carboni, Alexander

Horvath, Steven Danko, Joey Danko, and Henry Danko; and brother, Dennis (Chris)

Olsen. Predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Edith Olsen; wife, Mary Olsen; and

brother Jack Olsen.
