It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ronald Anthony Ron Polizzi, age 72, of Frontier Pines Lane in Spruce Pine. He entered into his heavenly home on Saturday, January 11, 2025.Born on Long Island, NY on June 13, 1952, he was the son of the late Albano Polizzi and Jenny Polizzi Montgomery. Ron came to Spruce Pine in 1982 working for Greene-Buchanan Chevrolet. He became, "The Mechanic" doing mobile auto service. He opened One Stop Auto which he operated many years. Later he built modular and stick built homes.Ron had a heart of gold. He found joy in helping others. He could fix anything. His motto was: "If it can be bought, it isnt worth anything". His passions was helping others and repairing things. Ron will be greatly missed by his wife and son, family and friends.Left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty years and soul mate, Anita Polizzi, his son; Nick Polizzi, his brother; Al Polizzi, his sister; Jeanette Kain, his half-sister; Kathy Fripp, his half-brothers; Ken Polizzi and Joe Polizzi; his cherished stepmother; Nancy Polizzi, his aunt; Rosanne Van Steen and many nieces and nephews.Special Thanks to Guy and Linda Pitman who became family as well as friends.In lieu of flowers, please send your gifts to; Anita Polizzi, 201 Frontier Pines Lane, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date.Words of comfort may be e-mailed to the family by going to our website; www.webbfh.com, selecting Ron Polizzis name and then you may sign his guestbook.
