Ronald Stephan Popp, 80 of Westville, passed away Monday, July 21,2025 in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born September 1,1944 in Valparaiso, the son of Stephan Popp and June (Robertson) Erickson. Ronald was an Engineer at Bethlehem Steel for 53 years and a consultant for Popp Co, Inc for 13 years. He was a member of Unity of the Dunes Church in Valparaiso and volunteered at the Indiana Dunes National Park in Chesterton. He married Mari E. O'Malley, who survives in Westville. Also surviving is his son James Popp of Lafayette, IN. and a sister Kathy Erickson Spilka (Robert) of Pomfret, CT. He was preceded in death by his son John Popp, his sister Debra, stepson Michael O'Malley and his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025, from 12 pm to 3 pm at Geisosomo's Pizzeria, 371 Indian Boundary Road # B, Chesterton, Indiana 46304.

I´ll never forget how Ron could light up a room with his jokes and stories. He had such a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease. Every time I think of him, I smile. He was truly one of a kind-kind-hearted, funny, and full of life. He will be missed!
