Ronald Dean Quinn

Ronald Dean Quinn (Ron), from Strafford, Missouri, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, November 22, 2021. As Ron entered heaven's gates he was surrounded by his family that he loved so dearly. Ron was 75.
Born to Raymond Earl and Gladys Naomi (Coulter) Quinn, Ron was the youngest of their 5 children.
Ron spent his childhood working on the Quinn farm in Versailles, Illinois and graduated in 1964 from Brown County High School in Mt. Sterling, Illinois. He met the love of his life, Donna Jean Snyder, as a youngster growing up just miles from her. He was just a young carefree boy and didn't know it at the time. After maturing into high school and coming to his senses, he finally asked Donna for a Prom date in April of 63. From that moment, they have been inseparable. Ron asked Donna to marry him Christmas of 1964. They were joined for life on May 1 5, 1966 in Versailles, Illinois. They had 4 children Sherry, Jeanie, Kathy and Danny.
Ron loved God, his family and served his country in active duty in the Navy for 4 years as a SeaBee and reserves for the next 20 years. He served 2 tours in Vietnam and was Commander of the VFW Post in Strafford, Missouri. Ronald was also a Master Fabricator. He learned this trade in the Navy. He and Donna owned Premier Metalworks before retiring. It was a family business that involved all of his children. In 1972 Ron moved with his family to Springfield, Missouri where he attended and graduated from Baptist Bible College in 1976. Ron went on to become a Sunday school teacher and a Deacon at High Street Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. Ron was an amazing man of God and his legacy is an outstanding testimony of God's plan. Ron was involved in every aspect of life that he could fill his heart with. From serving his God daily in sharing God's love to everyone he came in contact with to holding his family in his arms as close as he could.
Ron lived each day of his life as if it were his last day on earth. His Faith gave him his ability to make each day better than the day before it, constantly reminding family and friends of the graciousness of salvation and what a wonderful life God has given each one of us. Ron never knew a stranger. He treated each person he met with respect and love.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Gladys Quinn, sister Thelma Vincent and husband Robert, brother Gerald Quinn and wife Ramona, daughter Sherry Roepke and nephew Michael Vincent.
He is survived by the love of his life Donna Quinn, daughter Jeanie Pettey and husband George, daughter Kathy McBee and husband David, son Dan Quinn and wife Deirra, Son n law Brad Roepke, daughter in Christ Carolyn Robirds, and grandchildren Kyle Roepke, Colton Roepke and wife Faith, Deacon Hunter, Grant Pettey and Daxton Quinn. His brother Ray
Quinn and wife Millie, his bother George Quinn and wife Peggy, many nieces and nephews and his sister in Christ Jane Janes. He also leaves behind his constant companion and therapy furbaby Precious, a doxiepoo. Ron and Precious were inseparable, they had a special bond.

Visitation for Ron will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors.
