Obituary published on Legacy.com by Colonial Funeral Home of Irving on Jul. 31, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald "Ron" Roseberry, age 82, of
Irving, Texas - devoted husband and father, loyal friend, and kind-hearted soul who touched the
lives of many. Ron passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Bedford, Texas.
Born in Dallas, Texas, on December 22, 1942, he was the beloved son of Leon Wilburn
Roseberry and Bessie Ione Davis Roseberry. He lived a full and meaningful life, deeply
cherished by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Colonial Funeral
Home Chapel of Irving. Pastor Leon Adkins will officiate the service. Following the service,
Ron will be laid to rest at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless.
Visitation for family and friends will take place from 12:00 PM until service time on Friday at
the funeral home.
Ron leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his wife, Pam Shorb
Roseberry; his daughters, Lorrie Roseberry Walker and husband Ken Harnden, and Cindy
Roseberry Justice and husband Stan; his sister, Judy Roseberry Wright; and his grandchildren,
Rachel Kildow (husband Ditto), Lauren Thompson (husband Joe), Evan Justice, and Dylan
Justice. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Hurley Luden, Declan Kildow, Smith
Kildow, and Carter Thompson.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandra Roseberry Glaser.
Ron proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1969, stationed in Hawaii.
Ron was a dedicated, hard-worker throughout his life. He drove for USF Bestway trucking,
worked concessions at Reunion Arena, and provided security at the American Airlines Center.
He also served on the security teams for the Dallas Stars and the Texas Rangers. His
commitment, reliability, and warm spirit left a lasting impact wherever he worked.
Beyond his career, Ron found true joy in simple pleasures. He was also an avid churchgoer,
regularly attending services and living his faith through kindness, generosity, and compassion.
He loved to travel. Some of his favorite destinations were Big Bend National Park, Florida for a
Space Shuttle launch, Colorado for snow skiing and camping, Manhattan, NY, Niagara Falls,
boating in Oklahoma, visiting Arizona and Seattle, and the Grand Canyon.
Ron especially loved fishing and camping, often taking his boat and camper to nearby lakes
where he would spend hours hoping to catch just one more fish. He cherished every
opportunity to relax outdoors.
Ron's greatest joy, however, was his family. He enjoyed family gatherings, the holidays and the
memories created with his siblings and then his kids and grandkids.
Ron was a man who would do anything for those he loved - a constant source of support, humor
and care. He was always there to lend a hand, share a story or offer a smile. He rarely met a stranger. He would quite literally give you the shirt off his back.
Ron leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and generosity that will be remembered by all who
knew him.
