Eloy Cruz Mendez

Eloy Cruz Mendez was born on October 14,1955 to Enrique and Mercedes Mendez in Del Rio, Texas. He spent his early years in his hometown making and building friendships that would last a lifetime.
He worked in the Val Verde Nursing home in his early twenties. Here he met Maria Valadez who became a longtime friend. This led to meeting her sister Rosa whom he married on May 25,1977
They moved to Carrollton and raised their daughter, Alicia. Later having a hand in raising and educating their grandchildren, Omar, Tiffany, Andrew and Pearl.
He worked at Parkland Hospital for 15 years and later at Children's Hospital till his retirement.
He was the pillar of his family. Always being there for them all.
Eloy was preceded in death by his parents Enrique and Mercedes Mendez, and his siblings Enrique Jr, Velma, Cecilia and Velma. He was also preceded in death by his nephews Danny, Donald and Ronnie.
Eloy was always a very loving and giving person to everyone he met. His absence has left a little emptiness in everyone's heart that he met along the way in his life.
Though Eloy has left this world his legacy of love, kindness and devotion will remain in the hearts of the people that knew him. He will be forever missed but not forgotten.
