Ronald Carl Sample

Ronald C. Sample, 78, of Randolph, passed away at home on Friday, October 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 2, 1946, in Jamestown, the son of the late Edwin Donald and Bertha Pearl (Pequeen) Sample.
He attended Randolph Central School and served 2 years in the U.S. Army. He worked at Beaver Dairy Farm in Randolph as a Mechanic and Truck Driver. In earlier years, he had worked for the Alan Slater Dairy Farm in Randolph, Lyons Equipment in Little Valley and for the Hettenbaugh Deer Farm.
Ron was a member of the Randolph American Legion Post 181 and the former Randolph Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed carpentry, remodeling, working on tractors and heavy equipment and rebuilding motors, watching western shows on TV and rooting for the Buffalo Bills.
He is survived by his wife, Debra (Abromavich) Sample, six children; Kathy Sample and Chris Ecker, John Mendez, Kevin Callahan and Leilani Callahan all of Randolph and Kealohapauoli "Robert" Mendez of Falconer and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters: Betty Jackson of Niceville, FL and Hazel Spence of Randolph, NY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Sample, two sisters, Gertrude Mesel and Mary Blood, two brothers, John Sample and Donald Sample.
As per Ron's request there will be no visitation or funeral services observed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the
