On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Ronald Scribner, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother left this earthly life surrounded by his devoted family.
Ron was born on August 4, 1943 in Lewiston, Maine to the late Eugene and Thelma Scribner of Durham, Maine. On September 22, 1979, he married the love of his life, Kathi-Ann Franciosi, whom he met while working as a machine technician for American Shoe Machinery.
Ron is survived by his son, David (Shannon) Scribner of Gorham, Maine and daughter, Lisa (Dave) Stigile of New Gloucester, Maine. Ron was the proud grandfather of Kristen (Kristopher) White and of Ethan and Caleb Scribner. He was also a beloved great-grandfather to Nolan and Charlotte White.
Ron was the eldest brother to Kenneth (Pearl) Scribner, Norman (Chris) Scribner, Walter (Shelly) Scribner and Patricia (John) Enman.
Ron's passions included hunting, fishing, flea markets, gardening and shopping. He also loved birds, and built approximately 20 houses for them. A favorite pastime was taking trips with Kathi to Moosehead Lake, spending hours driving through the back roads in search of wildlife. Ron also loved cats, as they did him. Ron's kind and compassionate spirit shone through in everything he did, including volunteering his time at a church food pantry and assisting with blood drives.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
