Ronald Singel

Ronald Joseph Singel, 67 of Cleveland, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was born February 12, 1957, to parents Joseph and Helen (nee Blanar) Singel in Cleveland, Ohio.
Ron was a proud military veteran that served in the U.S. Air Force. He received degrees from Kent State and The Ohio State University. Through the years, he was employed as the City Manager in Alma, Michigan; Old Town, Maine; Waterville, Maine; Wasilla, Alaska; LaGrande, Oregon; and Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
Ron was an avid reader. He also enjoyed hiking, biking, urban exploring, listening to his music, painting, and keeping up on the politics of the day. He loved animals and carousing at family events with his nieces and nephews and then, years later, their children. He will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving son Nicholas A. Singel of Detroit, Maine; stepdaughter, Jenni Plumstead of Belfast, Maine; siblings Sharon Fisher of Berea, Ohio, Rick (Denita) Singel of Cincinnati, Ohio, Joseph (Luanne) Singel of Avon Lake, Ohio, and Christopher Singel of Akron, Ohio, along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 16 years, Kimberly Thibodeau-Singel; father, Joseph Singel; mother, Helen (nee Blanar) Singel; adoptive mother, Lynne (nee Beyer) Singel; and brother-in-law, Gregory Fisher.
