Christopher "Topher" Singel

Christopher George Singel, 56, of Akron, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at his home. He was born October 16, 1968, to Joseph and Lynne Singel (nee Beyer) in Cleveland, Ohio.
Christopher, or "Topher" as his family and friends called him, grew up in Peninsula, Ohio. After high school, he chose to become a firefighter/EMT for the Coventry Township Fire Department. He also was a volunteer firefighter for the Valley Fire Department. He flourished as a member of this brotherhood, making life-long friends.
Christopher loved the outdoors, going on hikes in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and hunting. He also loved travel, especially cruises. He was a connoisseur of spicy sausages and hot dogs, always to be enjoyed with a cold beer. Christopher was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and was a season ticket holder for many years.
Christopher is survived by his beloved siblings Sharon Fisher, Rick (Denita) Singel, Joe (Luanne) Singel; cherished uncle to Gregory (Angela) Fisher, Patrick (Jennifer) Fisher, Kathleen (Joseph) Reinart, Cara (Matthew) Mulvaney, Leslie Singel, Nicholas (Rhiannon Mattingly) Singel and four-legged feline friend, Serenity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronald Singel, brother-in-law, Gregory Fisher, and sister-in-law, Kimberly Thibodeau-Singel. The family will host private services at a later date. www.buschcares.com 440-933-3202
