RONALD DALE SMITH

Ronald Dale Smith, born June 14, 1941 in Streeter, Illinois, passed November 7, 2025 in Vero Beach, FL.

Ron grew up in Minonk, IL, graduating from Minonk-Dana-Rutland High School after completing a construction program. He moved to Hollywood, FL and started his business doing metal framing and drywall. He then moved to Indian River County and continued to grow his business starting with homes and moving on to large commercial projects. The more intricate the job the more he loved it.

Ron enjoyed fishing, Nascar races, and camping. Him and "his" Bunny traveled all over the US in their camper seeing the sites from the east coast to Alaska. He also enjoyed taking his kids to the Daytona 500 race and mushroom hunting in Illinois for many years. The thing he loved most was his friends and family and spending time with them. He will be remembered and missed always.

Predeceased by his parents Roy and Florence Smith (Minonk, Il), and daughter Theresa (Vero Beach).

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Norma and sons Kevin (Kris), Brian (Trina), Phillip (Rae), and daughter Kelly all of Vero Beach/Sebastian. Grandkids, Rachael, Christine, Joshua, Jeromy, Michael, Ronald, Elizabeth, Randy, Vince, Stephen, and Haley. And 9 great-grandchildren. Brother Loren (Linda) Smith, Alaska.

Services will be held at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian, FL on Saturday, November 22nd 2025. Receiving at 10 am, service at 11:30 am, followed by a celebration of life reception at 8166 104th Court, Vero Beach (Vero Lake Estates).
