Ronald C. Switzer Jr., 56, of Dubuque, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 17th, at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, Dubuque. Entombment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, April 16th, at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home & Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road.
Ronald was born July 2nd, 1968 in Dubuque, Iowa. On July 27th, 1991 he married Michelle M. Freiburger at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa. He worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Chicago Dubuque Foundry, Tschiggfrie Excavating Company for 22 years, and Dubuque County Road Maintenance Department for 7 years.
His passions were: spending time with his dog, Bella, collecting coca-cola memorabilia, ATVing, hunting, riding his little brothers Harley Davidson motorcycle, and camping. He enjoyed all family get togethers and living life to his fullest. He would always give a helping hand and a smile.
Ron was a proud union member of 38 years between GMP Motors Union 263-B and Teamsters Local 120, serving as Union steward for majority of those years. He was President of the N.E.A.T. Riders ATV Club (North East Action Trail Riders). He was involved in Mopar of the Mississippi Club, Mighty Mississippi HOG Chapter, Gary Graffiti nights, and 4-H shooting sports instructor.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle; 2 daughters, Nicole (Cody) Schmitt and Tiffani (Kyle) Krieger; 3 granddaughters, Isabelle, Violet and Lily. His sister-in-law Denise Switzer; nieces Samantha Curler-Switzer and Madalyn Switzer. His sister Cynthia (Tim) Schueller, all of Dubuque.
He was preceded in death by his Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law, Janet and Ronald Freiburger, brother Michael Switzer.
