Ronald "Ron" Walls, aged 63, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in
Evansville, Indiana. Born on March 5, 1962, in Clinton, Indiana, Ron was a man whose infectious spirit and boundless love enriched the lives of all who knew him.
Ron's legacy is one of love and joy, which he shared generously with his adored family. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Linda Walls, whom he had the good fortune to reunite with after 34 years, equating to 12,062 days of being apart, and together they rediscovered a love that time could not diminish. Ron was a devoted father to his daughter, Brandi (Jason) Harper. His family circle expanded to include his stepson, Kyle (Brittany) Stanton, and stepdaughter, Kari (Brandon) McNeely. His grandchildren Gabe and Garrett Harper, along with step-grandchildren Lucas McNeely, Sydni McNeely, Trayce Stanton, Lincoln Stanton, and River Stanton, his sister-in-law Buffy (Randy) White, his brother-in-law Ed (Lori) Clarkston and several nieces & nephews, all of whom he adored, will miss his playful spirit and loving embrace. Although his mother, Jessie (Tibbett) Walls, predeceased him, Ron deeply loved and cherished the memories with his father George (Judy) Walls. Ron always had a special place in his heart, one filled with care and compassion for his father & mother-in-law, John and Wanda Clarkston, taking care of them during their final years.
His wife, Elizabeth Magnetti Walls, predeceased him, Ron held dear her children, Michael (Nicole) Lynch and Kimberly Woolsey, as well as Kimberly's son Colton, all of whom he loved deeply. Ron's siblings, David (Robin) Walls, Tina (Walls) Peace and Dannie (Renee) Walls, will remember him as the loving brother who always brought light into their lives.
Ron's professional life was marked by dedication and service. He retired from the City of Belleville in 2021, but his passion for work did not wane. He soon began working at Cambridge Golf Course, where his love for golf flourished both on and off the green. A member of various golf groups, including Special Golf Friends, Golf Buds, The Fun Bunch, Eagle Valley, and The Pro Am Monday, Ron's enthusiasm for the game was evident to all who played alongside him.
Beyond the fairways, Ron was an adventurer at heart. His love for travel took him to many places, but his favorite journeys were those spent with family and friends. A devoted follower of Bobby Pierce Racing, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite driver. If music was playing, Ron was dancing. He was the life of the party, a man whose spirited nature was contagious to everyone around him.
Ron Walls was the embodiment of a loving, adventurous, and spirited soul. His absence will be profoundly felt, but the memories he created will continue to bring smiles and warmth to those who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
As we say farewell to Ron, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a heart that loved without limits, and a spirit that will forever dance in our hearts. Ron's story is one of joy, family, and the unbridled zest for life that he shared with everyone he met. He may have left this world, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, Ron; your memory will be a treasure we hold dear forever.
