Ronald Warrick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boyd Funeral Home - Marion on Mar. 30, 2022.
Ronald Lee Warrick, age 92, of Marion passed away early Monday morning, March 28, 2022, at 1:53 AM in the Marion General Hospital. He was born in Marion, Ohio on September 5, 1929 to the late Jesse Lee and Agnes Lucille (Baker) Warrick. On December 18, 1954 in Marion he married the love of his life, Martha Ellen (Williams) and together they shared 67 years of marriage, she survives. He is also survived by a son, Randall Warrick of Marion, two daughters, Renee (Mark) Williams and Rhonda (James) Walker both of Marion, 7 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Barbara Dennison and Phyllis Draudt.
Ron served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He began his working career as a machinist for the Marion Power Shovel Company where he was employed for 37 years before his retirement in 1992. He went on to work for the Marion City School System in the print shop for an additional 12 years. Throughout his life he proved again and again that there was nothing more valuable to him than his faith and being present and sharing the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His joy, his laughter and the sparkle in his eyes will forever be remembered by his family and friends as he cheered from the sidelines and watched them with such deep love and pride in all of their accomplishments. His love for nature and enjoying the simple pleasures of birds, trees and flowers was so endearing and all that knew him will cherish all of the memories that he left us and the future influences that he will have on us.
Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. Rev. David Lippert will be officiating with burial to follow in the Marion Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Marion Co. Veterans Council.
