Ronald Watson, 84, was born on September 22, 1940, in Columbus, GA to the late Woodrow Wilson Watson and Eloise Davis Watson. He passed away peacefully at Columbus Hospice on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 15, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus , GA 31907. A private interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.


Ronald was a Regional Service Manager with Electrolux. He ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing his own business, The Vac-Shack.

He loved to laugh and tell jokes and stories of times gone by. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family along with friends and neighbors on Goat Rock Dam. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Watson Bohannon and daughter, Karen Jones.

He is survived by his fraternal twin brother Donald Watson of Columbus, GA; son Keith Watson (Debbie) of Forsythe, GA; daughters Connie Watson of Texas, Vicky Watson of Texas, Shelley Pruitt (Lester) of Atlanta,GA, Tammy Spain (Tim) of Columbus, GA; son-in-law, Jerry Jones of Columbus, GA; brother-in-law John Bohannon (Linda) of Canton, GA along with six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA.
