It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald O. Weber, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He left us on April 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
An avid reader and storyteller, Ron found joy in the pages of books, often sharing insights with the phrase, "I read this article." He had a passion for travel, with special memories created alongside his wife of nearly 65 years, Shirley, in their cherished Tennessee getaway. A proud lifelong member of IBEW Local 58, Ron dedicated his life to his craft and the camaraderie of his fellow union members.
Ron's love for games brought laughter and warmth to family gatherings. Whether playing Euchre or Rummy, he delighted in the company of Shirley, his children, and grandchildren. His friendly nature meant he never met a stranger, often engaging in long conversations that left his kids waiting patiently.
He had a fondness for cowboy shows, which echoed his love for storytelling, as he would recount tales from his life and adventures with a sparkle in his eye.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Amber Weber; great-grandson, David Montgomery; his parents, Orie and Selma Weber; and brothers, Elwood Weber and Eugene Weber.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Weber; children, Carolyn Weber, Bob (Nancy) Weber, Bruce (Lora) Weber, Duane (Sheryl) Weber, Brian (Tracy) Weber, and Laura (Ken) Crase; brother, Gary (Dori) Weber; lifelong best friend, Bill Pringle; and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are as follows: On Monday, May 5th, visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Sandusky, Michigan. There will be visitation at St. Joseph Holy Family Parish in Sandusky on Tuesday, May 6th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a mass service at 11:00 AM. Following the service, there will be a procession to Germania Cemetery for burial.
He will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered for his vibrant spirit, love of family, and the joy he brought to our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Aspire Hospice in Marlette in his name.
Friends may share an online condolence at www.marshfuneral.com.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Marsh Funeral Chapel, 396 S. Sandusky Rd., Sandusky, MI 48471. Phone 810-648-2244.
