Ronald Zeise Obituary

Faribault - Ronald M. Zeise, age 78 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in Bay City, WI.

Ronald Marvin Zeise was born April 18, 1946 to Vernal and Olive (Jorgenson) Zeise. Ron, as he preferred to be called, grew up on the family farm in Deerfield Township, Steele County. He attended District 19 Country School then later Medford School. In his younger years, Ron was in 4H and raised ducks to sell. One year He had more than 90 ducks to sell. Ron worked many jobs in his life, Poly Plastics, OMC, his family farm, and occasionally for other farmers. In 1968 Ron began his 30 plus year career at McQuays in Faribault. After retirement, he took on part time work at the Truckers Inn for many years. Recent years found him working at Torey's in Owatonna, a job he truly loved. He took great pride in his work. Ron loved a good western! He collected many items, including his collection of cuckoo clocks. He loved his Nissan cars as well. In his home it was very clear how much he loved his family; it was full of pictures of loved ones in every room. Ron loved to travel. He took 2 cruises, one to Alaska and one to Russia. He had a great time. Ron was united in marriage to Kay Bice in October 1968, they later divorced.

One of his greatest loves was riding his bike. For over 20 years he rode and logged many miles on his bikes. He found a great love for riding around Lake Pepin. He would get up early and make his way to Red Wing and start when it would get light. He made many friends along these rides. He would stop in the bakery and for his occasional ice cream cones. The bike he was on had 17,249 miles on it. Ron died doing what he loved. Heading out like many weekends to bike around the lake he loved.

Ron is survived by his 3 daughters, Brenda Chavie and her children, Briana, Mollie, Nicholas and Ryan, Chris (Duane) Ozmun and their children, daughters, Ashley and Courtney and fur baby, Tank and Tanya (Michael) Gordon and their children, Trevor and Hannah and great grandson, Dexter; siblings, Dennis (Sherry) Zeise, Nancy Cloutier, David Zeise, and Sandra (Greg) Lovejoy; many nieces and nephews; good friends, Ruthie, Nancy, and Judy; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Zeise; and brother-in-law, Donald Cloutier.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, with Fr. Henry Doyle officiating. Interment will take place at Deerfield Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Medford, MN.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory.
