Ronda Blane Reece, age 83, passed away January 23, 2025. He was born May 10, 1941 to the late Kermit and Myrtle Reece. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Dowell; brother, Tommy Reece and grandson, Cyprus Reece.
Ronda was known as a hard-working man. He was a carpenter and built several homes around the county, including his children’s. He also worked for the town of Mountain City for 29 years. He was happiest when he was outside cutting wood. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Ettie Jane Reece; daughter, Donna Roark and Mark; son, Brett Reece and Krisha; Tommy Rhymer, who he thought of as his own son; brother, Roddy Reece and Mae; grandchildren, Logan Vincent Kiley Reece, Noah Reece, Sylas Reece, Ryker Reece, Penelope Reece; great grandchildren, Cohen Vincent, Malachi Reece; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Greg Poe and daugter, Donna and son, Brett to speak. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Reece Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Rhymer, Will Savery, Noah Reece, Brett Reece, Logan Vincent, and Ray Stephens. Honorary pallbearer is Roddy Reece.
