Rondall Lee Meadows, age 84, of Lexington, beloved and faithful husband of Carolyn Meadows for 33 years, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Sayre Christian Village. He was born December 11, 1940, in Fleming County, KY, a son of the late Brooks and Lottie Haughy Meadows. Ron was a 1962 graduate of Cincinnati Bible College and retired in 2000 as Battalion Chief from the Lexington Fire Department, where he also served as Chaplain. After retirement, Ron worked for two and half years with Homeland Security in Kentucky. He pastored many churches and taught Sunday School throughout his life. Ron was raised going to church at the Maxwell Street Christian Church and made Southland Christian Church his home during his latter years. Throughout his life, Ron stayed extensively active and even tried his hand at farming during his last years. Besides his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by: three children, Rondall Scott (Lisa) Meadows of Mount Airy, NC, Rhonda (Bill) Sealey of Jessamine County, and Katherine (David) Reynolds of Lincoln County; 12 grandchildren, Blake Meadows, Sarah Brown, Andrew Brown, Alison Brown, Jonathan (Katie) Bourland, Luke (Megan) Bourland, Andrea (Rob) Lewis, Austin Bourland, Corey (Kayla) Sealey, Walker (Tammi) Reynolds, Sidney (Gabriela) Reynolds, and U-Jeen (Robert) Campbell; 13 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Gabe, James, Bella, Caroline, Isaac, Beau, Tucker, Luke, Jeremiah, Cora, Callie, and Haven; two brothers, Mike (Diana) Meadows, and Ray (Debbie) Meadows; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:30 pm Monday, January 27, 2025, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be 10:30 am – 12:30 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Memorials are suggested to Sayre Christian Village, 3775 Belleau Wood Dr., Lexington, KY 40517 or Bluegrass Hospice, 1733 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY 40504.
