Ronnie Lewis Davis passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ronnie was born on April 19, 1944, at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas, to Thomas Lewis and Pearl Irene Davis. He spent the majority of his life in the Farmers Branch–Carrollton area and married the love of his life, Linda Sue Davis, on November 1, 1963, in Dallas.
The couple briefly lived in Boulder, Colorado, where they welcomed their first child, Steven, on August 27, 1966. They soon returned to Texas and completed their family with the birth of their daughter, Debra, on January 13, 1975. In 2000, Ronnie and Linda retired and built their dream home in Linda's hometown of Hughes Springs, Texas, where they enjoyed their golden years together.
Ronnie was a proud retiree of Ford Motor Company and will be fondly remembered as the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan around. He was an avid gardener-famous in the family for growing the best tomatoes-and the beloved cook at every family gathering.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Davis; his parents, Thomas and Pearl Davis; and his brothers Glenn, Ricky, and Thomas Davis.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Steven (Becky) Davis and Debra (Bryan) Bartee; his brother, Albert (Joyce) Davis; his grandchildren: Krystal(Brian) Davis-Mabry, Stephanie (Daniel) Tywater, Emily Bartee, and Adlai Bartee; great-grandchildren: April Finerty, Destiny Sims, Kaiden Bolton, Connor (Allyanna) Jaco, Karley Burgett, Kylie Sherman, Jaxon Burgett, Braxton Tywater, and Harmony Tywater; and his great-great-grandson, Aaryn Flynn.
Ronnie's love, strength, and humor will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved him.
