Ronnie Gene Dike passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on November 12, 1939, in Independence, Missouri, Ronnie lived a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family.

From a young age, Ronnie demonstrated an incredible work ethic, starting as early as six years old, when he joined his father on milk routes. Ronnie worked diligently in the paint department at Vendo Manufacturing during the day, at the docks at Montgomery Ward during the night, and spent his weekends working in the hayfields. He worked at Vendo Manufacturing for 17+ years before transitioning to Ford Motor Company, where his remarkable career spanned over 35 years.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ronnie had a vibrant personality that brought so much joy to those around him. He was known for being ornery and so much fun, often described as the life of the party. His family was the focal point of his life, and he truly cherished his role as their biggest cheerleader and supporter. He had a natural ability to connect with children. Anytime he would interact with a newborn, a toddler, or a child, his eyes would twinkle and shine with love and adoration. Family gatherings were a staple in Ronnie's life, where every event was filled with laughter and games. Ronnie loved playing games with his family and enjoyed shooting pool. Ronnie took great pride in supporting the lives of his loved ones. He coached basketball teams for his daughters when they were young and coached in the Kiwanis baseball league for many years. Later, he helped coach baseball teams for his grandsons. He enjoyed playing recreational softball and volleyball alongside his wife, Muriel, whom he met in fifth grade at Spring Branch Elementary and had vowed to marry since their meeting. Their bond lasted a lifetime, culminating in 64 years of marriage filled with unconditional love and companionship.

Ronnie's passing is preceded by his parents, Howard and Dora Dike; his daughter, Rhonda Reyes; and his siblings, Dorothy Clark, Sonny Dike, Emily Doutt, and Jerry Dike. His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his best friend and beloved wife, Muriel Dike; his daughter, Sarah Parker; his grandchildren, Jeremy Parker, Nick Ottens, and his wife, Patience, Brandon Ottens, and his wife, Nicole, and Kim Parker, as well as 8 great grandchildren.
