Ronnie Kaze Goolsby, age 72, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully from cancer in his home on June 3, 2025.
He was born on September 19, 1952, in Putnam County, Tennessee, to the late Zina and Vera Goolsby. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching UT Vols sports. He was known for his famous hushpuppies and held the best fish fries. The greatest joy in his life was being Grandpa Goolsby and attending his grandkids' programs, activities, and sporting events.
Ronnie leaves behind his two daughters, Jennifer Goolsby of Cookeville and Kasey (Daniel) Martin of Rickman, and his beloved grandchildren, Layla Buckner, Dylan Martin, and Lily Martin. Ronnie is survived by his significant other, Beverly Gentry, and her daughter Rachel, and his siblings Nolan Goolsby, Norma (Jimmy) Moore, Myra (Randy) Richardson, Ilene Call, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his cherished son Matthew Kaze Goolsby, Beverly's son John Gentry, sister-in-law Carol Goolsby, and brother-in-law Milt Call.
Ronnie requested that there be no traditional services or visitation held.

June 12, 2025

Just the other day, we were looking in our old photo album of our friends gathered at our house in the 70's and Ronnie was in several of them. He still has that same easy going smile! David was very fond of him especially. Our sincere thoughts are with his family.
