Ronnie Lee Hockensmith, 77, husband of Linda Hockensmith died Sunday, October 6th, 2024 in Harrodsburg. Born July 21st, 1947 in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Onie Lee and Opal McDaniel Hockensmith. He was a self-employed contractor for Ron and Evans Home Improvement. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of Burgin Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors including his wife are one son: Shawn (Kimberly Sue) Hockensmith of Harrodsburg; one daughter: Ann Hockensmith Phillips of Harrodsburg; one brother: Phillip (DeeDee) Hockensmith of Burgin; one sister: Debbie Pinkston of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren: Chaz (Madison) Hockensmith and Isaak Hockensmith, Mackenzie (Jared) Holt and Paisley (Taylor) Bustle; five great grandchildren: Parker Bustle, Blake Holt, Rowyn Bustle and Smith Holt, and Rhett Hockensmith.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Sue Carol Lewis and Doris Bugg and one brother-in-law: Don Bugg.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Burgin Memorial Gardens with Carl McCray officiating. Burial will follow with Shawn Hockensmith, Taylor Bustle, Jared Holt, Phillip Hockensmith, Sr., and Phillip Hockensmith, Jr. serving as pallbearers. George Hensley and Chad Pinkston will serve as honorary pallbearers.
