Ronnie Manning, a retired truck driver and long time resident of Virginia Beach, VA gained his wings on Tuesday November 26, 2024 at the age of 74.
Ronnie was born on August 11, 1950 to Leola Ennis and Lindberg Allen Manning in North Carolina.
Ronnie is survived by his partner Kathy Cooke, stepchildren Shannon Cooke (Milton Lee III) grandchildren Christian Cooke & Milton "Buddy" Lee IV all of Virginia Beach, VA, Bryan Cooke of Chesapeake, VA, grandson Ronnie Stanley of Sedley, VA, grandson Michael Manning of Georgia, brother Roger Manning of Georgia, brother Randy Manning (Nita Manning) of North Carolina as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends Ronnie made family.
He was preceeded in death by parents Leola Ennis and Lindberg Manning, brother Allen "Shorty" Manning, sister Linda Johnson, and son Ronnie Manning Jr.
Ronnie was a devoted Papa & PawPaw who loved nothing more than to see his grandchildren having fun, playing sports and enjoying their lives. He loved fishing, football (GO WASHINGTON), nascar and taking rides with his 4 legged buddies in tow. He loved handing out candy to those who would trick or treat at Halloween and was often joked every year about being the families Santa Claus. His passion was driving cross country where he fell in love with the state of Montana and if he didn't plant roots in Virginia, Montana would have been the place he called home.
Funeral services will be held privately with family. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Heart Association and/or the American Kidney Fund in Ronnie's name. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Ronnie, please visit our Tree Store.
